Small Words for Big Empowerment
As a writer, I often get caught up and lost in big, bold, beautiful words and long scripts. But the power in small words is undeniable. Especially these. Use them at your leisure, empowerment, and discretion:
Fire
It burns within us, takes out forests and civilizations, heats our bodies, cooks our food, and warms our lives. It can light us up or tear us down. Use it wisely.
Fear
It protects us, shows us our weaknesses, fuels our strengths, and gives us the chance to find courage in ourselves.
Drive
We go for it when we need a break or it takes us from zero to sixty or ninety. It keeps us going through challenges and hardship. But just don't let it overwhelm.
Take
Your viewpoint, or stealing, or the ability to grasp what we want and what is ours. Just do so kindly.
Give
The embodiment of kindness. Use liberally.
Own
Something you can claim. Living your truth.
Mine
To take ownership, selfishly or not. It's your choice.
Yours
To give, and to allow. Being selfless. Use a lot, but also save some for yourself.
Ours
Shared life, shared experience. Evokes calm and love. Live it often.
Great
Can take the form of good or bad. Which one will you be?
Wow
A word that can embodies amazing, up or down. Used appropriately, can knock socks off.
Awe
The response to dumbness, greatness, or respect.
Thank
It will always come back to this.
Be
The beautiful art of knowing and owning yourself.
You
True selflessness in a word.
With
Being together. May cause love (or not).
Here
Living now and in the now.
Me
It could be selfish, but, if used right, it is the beginning of everything.
